La via, che prende il nome dall’omonimo palazzo, è entrata nella storia correggese per avere ospitato il Ghetto in cui venne rinchiusa parte della locale Comunità Ebraica, già presente a Correggio sul finire del secolo XV, dal 1781 al 1797. I l ghetto, oltre a parte di via Casati, comprendeva anche alcuni fabbricati nelle
adiacenti vie Filatoio e Sirena.

This street, which takes its name from the homonymous palace facing on it , earned its place in the History of Correggio for having housed  the Ghetto, where part of the local Jewish community, which had settled in Correggio by the end of the 15^th century, was shut up from 1781 to 1797. Besides a portion of Via Casati,  the Ghetto also included several buildings in the nearby streets of Via Filatoio and Via Sirena.
